The tour offers an opportunity to explore the rich history and culture of the pre-inca and Inca civilizations, as well as the diverse flora and fauna of the surrounding landscape.

Pachacamac was once a bustling religious center for the indigenous peoples of Peru, dating back to the early first millennium AD. The site features impressive architectural structures, including temples, plazas, and palaces, which were used for worship and ceremonial purposes by various cultures throughout its history.During the Inca Empire, Pachacamac became an important pilgrimage site, drawing visitors from all over the Andean region. Many of the existing structures were expanded and renovated during this time, showcasing the unique architectural style and engineering prowess of the Inca civilization.

The word Pachacamac means «Natural laws that order the Cosmos». Pilgrims came from all over Peru for various reasons, including the seminars that the Amautas (rulers) organized where they could exchange agricultural knowledge between communities with varying ecological levels, the astronomical consultations to plan the crops to anticipate droughts or rains, and the solar and constellation observatories. The royalty was buried there with their various traditions and rites. It was also utilized as a cemetery.

Located 18 miles away from Miraflores, this Archeological Complex was the most important religious center of the Central Coast of the country, the places to visit will be at “Adobitos Temple”, Palace with ramp, Max Uhle Cemetery, the Templo of the Sun, the Acllahuasi (The House of the Chosen Ones) and the Local Museum. Also, the stories about Cavillaca & Cuniraya and the Spanish arrival looking for the gold and silver offered by Inca Atahualpa for his ransom.

The Pachacamac Tour typically lasts around half a day and includes transportation to and from the site as well as a knowledgeable guide to provide historical and cultural context. Visitors should wear comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for walking on uneven terrain, and bring sunscreen, water, and snacks as needed.
